Someone a while back had tossed out that this RTT was for a fully painted army as first prize? Is this still on or it is it store credit?

I am still considering taking the day off work to attend and would be bringing Craftworld Earendil to the field of battle. Here is a link to a pic of the army (note this composition shown is from the old codex and has been changed for the new codex).

Hopefully Ill be see'in ya there.

Osso,

To the best of my knowledge the prize is Store Credit. Several months ago they suggested it was going to be a fully painted Eldar Army, but I don't think that's going to happen. I haven't seen it kicking around in the store windows. Usually the prize army is up for display for a month or so before the tourney.

Scott

PS - Markus, I didn't mean to sound rude back there when I said I'd played in tourneys before. It occurred to me afterwards that I only recently joined the forums and you'd have no clue what my Forum name was.

Last Sept. was "Into the Webway" where there was a Dark Eldar army. The Dec. RTT had a store credit prize. I had heard rumor to this one supposedly going to be a Eldar army, but alas, I think that's a dead rumor.

Ohhhh ho ho. VERY nice Eldar figures there Osso! Can't WAIT to eat their brains... ;-) Hopefully you can make it. Might have to bring my camera this time.

Ugh..I know you told me to bring the Zombies Wolfie, but truth be told I still haven't decided on whether to bring the Zombies or the Deathguard. When I told the Deathguard I was taking the Plague Zombies, Typhus gave me the puppy dog eyes and walked away so sadly, pathetically dragging his Manreaper behind him. Guess I will wait and see.

I know Nate painted the Black Templer army and the Dark Eldar one was one the store had on display for a long time.

I'm not sure but since Nate got a different job, I don't think we'll be seeing many painted army give aways.

As for Typus or Zombies, I'm not sure. I like both.

Carl is pretty decent at painting, so i wouldn't doubt there might be another painted army in the future... maybe not NEAR future, but sometime i think...

WELL... back on topic, i went up to recess today to buy me a rune priest and wolf priest ( i changed up my list a bit so i couldn't use my termy rune priest anymore) and low and behold... no wolf priest... , so i have to resort to using a pathetic nilla marine chaplain... :x ick!

the rune priest is looking rather good if i do say so myself... i took a LONG time on his plasma pistol, so you guys have to check it out when you get here on sat. ... i've got 16 wolves completely painted and based, and the rest are all averagely painted (no detailing of the mouth and eyes (yet) and aren't based.

my tac. squads are painted to tournament standard... i wish i had more time but i don't... as always... i'll probably be up til 4 am finishing stuff up on friday night.. ... i have to learn to space myself out... the only model i don't currently have BUILT is my wolf lord... i have yet to gather the pieces together... :P

When I talked to nate last friday, he said he was going to post the missions. Have they been posted somewhere that I haven't seen? It's not going to change my army selection (the owls will be there in all their drop pod glory), but it's fun to think about missions beforehand.

i think that it would be good to have the missions posted about 2-3 days before the tournament... enough time to plan a strategy... but not enough to change a whole army ( for most people this would be true... but there are some of you who have multiple armies painted to RTT standard... :P )

i myself haven't seen the missions... so i wouldn't know... i'm assuming the'll be put on the site like usual

update* i talked to a reliable source and the word on the street is that the missions were sent to Jim... so now it's anyone's guess... Jim's got em... will he post em, or not is the question...

Well, sounds like it'll be a blast, you kids have fun. Kinda sucks, but I won't be going to the RTT Saturday. So, I'd like to see perhaps some battle reports or maybe even a general overview of the tournament (who won, who had the most interesting army, did anyone squash Markus, etc) because, as Mel Brooks put it best "Well, gentlemen, matters of state take precedence over matters of state." 8)

Ya know Markus, it really isn't any fair when you bash yourself for us. It takes all of our fun away!

I'll probably do some battle reports. Four rounds, so I will try to keep them short.
Well gentlemen, I am off to the showers then off to work. See ya all tommorow on the field of battle.
